Unity Cafe meetings on the

first and third and fifth Sundays

at 10 a.m. at Greenlife.

September 16, 30

Join us for an uplifting spiritual interfaith gathering first, third, and fifth Sundays from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the community room at Greenlife just north of Greenlife Grocery Store at 70 Merrimon Ave, Asheville, NC.

Enjoy coffee and pastries & the Spirit of the Unity Cafe!

We'll sit at café tables, sip coffee, munch on pastries, ponder a topic of timely and spiritual interest, and share our wisdom and stories. It's a time of casual gathering, interfaith and universal spiritual exploration, openhearted sharing, and meditation within the quiet of your own Being.

It's fun, it's fascinating, and it's touching. We have lively conversation and community. We grapple with the questions that touch our hearts and daily lives, and enter into the possibilities and mysteries of the Divine. We acknowledge that everyone has their own perspective and invite people to share from their own authentic life experiences. Sharing is respectful and open-minded. We don't seek agreement as much as thoughtful insight and personal awareness. Ultimately, each of us has our own unique experience of Spirit and must live from that experience.

Nancy Clark, an ordained Unity Church minister, leads Unity Cafe. Her husband, Rick, is a partner in the Cafe. Nancy is available for spiritual and personal counseling, weddings, funerals, and more. Contact Nancy at 254-8488 or by email.

Vision Statement of Unity Café

The Unity Café is a warm and welcoming place where diverse people gather in community to have and explore an authentic and grounded experience of Spirit. Unity's five foundational principles, the perennial Truths of all faiths, and each person's inner awareness provide a pathway to deepen the connection to the Divine and Sacred within ourselves and all Life. The Unity Café is a community committed to authentic sharing, to accepting and supporting others perspectives, and to practicing compassion and wisdom. It is a place of wholeness and healing, and of embracing body, mind, heart, soul, and Spirit. Within the community of the Unity Cafe, we will explore how we can understand and live our lives deeply grounded in the Divine. It is a place where casual and comfortable gathering opens all participants to a greater sense of the Divine—the Creative Life Force—within themselves, each other, all creatures, and all creation. Unity Café is a place to honor, to heal, and to celebrate all of Life.

Unity's five foundational principles are paraphrased as:

1) The Divine is the ineffable ultimate Unity of All and is active everywhere in everything.

2) Humans, all creatures, and all creation are an expression of the Divine and are essentially Whole and Holy.

3) We create our experiences by what we choose to think and what we feel and believe.

4) Through affirmative prayer and meditation, we connect with the Divine and can express more fully our innate wholeness in our lives.

5) We heal our world and ourselves when we live from our Wholeness.
